* Annual Treatments:

Try get at least 4 professional treatments a year. With changing seasons so do the needs of our skin. Each season calls for a reset and a renewed game plan. Doing this will result in more beautiful skin, with a better texture, stronger barrier and improved results from your skincare routine.

Recommendations:

Spring: Peels & Refresh

Summer: Protect & Glow

Winter: Soothe & Repair

Autumn: Hydrate & Replace

* Skincare Routine & Product Order:

Check our stories for a breakdown of a typical skincare routine for both am and pm.

The rule of thumb is to use the thinnest product (after cleansing), like a serum and end up with the thickest product on the top. A simple routine is best with your most important product being sunscreen.

* Actives:

Actives are great but can lead to sensitivity and allergic reactions. Even more so if you’re under 25. Don’t be tempted by pretty packaging! Ingredients like alpha hydroxy acids and retinoids can disrupt the skin barrier and cause skin irritation, while rich, nourishing moisturisers aimed at replenishing hydration and lipids in more mature, dry, peri-menopausal skin can play havoc with skin more prone to breakouts.

Acne:

Don’t be tempted to use harsh products and scrubs. Laser and light therapies are great solutions, but chat to your dermatologist first. A proper diagnosis should be completed before choosing a solution.

Hacks:

- Patch test new products to avoid adverse reactions.

- Consistency is key.

- Tailor your routine and products to suit your skin type (dry, sensitive, oily, combination).

- Use green tea as a toner - it’s packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
